Employment Services

As a Vocational Rehabilitation Services provider, we offer employment services that help people with disabilities prepare for, obtain, and retain employment in the community.

In considering Easterseals RISE employment services, here are a few things to know:

• Employment services are customized based upon an individual’s needs. Services may include:

  • Résumé development and assistance with job applications

  • Prevocational skills training

  • Interview practice

  • Help identifying interests and potential jobs

  • Job coaching

• While our goal is to place individuals in long-term employment, other opportunities to identify interests while gaining experience may include:

  • Volunteer projects

  • Job shadowing

  • Mentorships

  • Internships

  • Temporary job placements

• We work directly with local employers to explore their staffing needs and help them understand how Easterseals RISE participants can fill those needs. This creates a dynamic collaboration that benefits both employers and job seekers.

• The Employment Readiness Academy is a unique mentorship program  in which small groups of individuals are chosen for an intensive hands-on training experience during which they gain skills and build confidence.

Extended Services: Workplace supports help individuals succeed after they have obtained community employment.

Workplace Assistance: Personal care services during community employment hours include help with meals, hygiene and medication administration.

Ticket to Work: Easterseals RISE is designated as an Employment Network for the Ticket to Work program through the Social Security Administration.
Accreditation: Employment services is a CARF-accredited program.
